HOW IT WORKS
Donating books is simple. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
Gather Your Books
Collect new or gently-used children's books ages 0–10. Check each book for damage — torn pages, heavy writing, or missing covers.
Sort & Box Them
Pack books in boxes or bags. No need to sort by age or type — we handle that at our headquarters.
Choose Drop-Off or Pick-Up
Drop books off at our headquarters anytime during business hours, or request a pick-up for donations of 100+ books.
We Do the Rest
Our volunteers sort, clean, and redistribute your donated books to children in limited-resource situations across Greater Akron.
WHAT WE ACCEPT
We Accept
- New or gently-used children's books
- Books geared toward children ages 0–10
- Board books, picture books, early readers
- Chapter books for young readers
- Books in good, clean condition
- Books in English (primary) or Spanish
We Cannot Accept
- Textbooks or workbooks
- Books with missing pages, torn covers, or heavy writing
- Adult books or young adult novels
- Encyclopedias or reference sets
- Damaged, moldy, or water-stained books
- VHS tapes, DVDs, or audio cassettes

This is our only drop-off location. Please do not leave books outside the building or at other locations.
